My mountain lion photo appears in a PSA about mountain lions. It is for the segment, “Do Estes Right” by Nick Molle Productions.

In the past couple of years, we have had an increase in the amount of mountain lion sightings. I am sure it has a lot to do with the fact that RMNP has basically forced the elk out of their winter feeding grounds by putting up exclosures to grow the willows. After 20 years, you think they would be done with that.

But with the food source being blocked off, the elk have been coming into Estes Park more and migrating further down to Loveland.

That could be the issue.
