Finally, after over two long months I was able to get out to play in the snow. Having a knee injury really sucks especially during the winter. Both Knut and I relish in the powder days, and love to ski and snowshoe.
Of course, wouldn't you know it, the day I finanly got to strap on my snowshoes it was almost 60 degrees at 10,000 feet! In April!
So making our way through the mushy snow proved a bit difficult for me. Knut had to lead in case we walked on the unstable, dirty snow and sank. Regardless of how careful we were, I managed to sink in the snow getting my snowshoe stuck. Normally not an issue, I had to avoid twisting my knee when pulling myself out of the snow. It took 1/2 hour for Knut to dig me out.
There was probably some wildlife looking at us from a distance wondering what the two hoomans were doing. And laughing their little heads off...
